Welcome to the Roller Coaster Climbs section on the SJBB HQ! – In this area you can see a selection of roller coaster lift hill walks we have done from a mixture of different theme parks we have visited. While the coaster climbs can be quite expensive and challenging they are a something unique and worth looking into doing if you are a big roller coaster fan and love to see views of the parks.
The Big One - BPB
Join Sam as we take on one of our biggest and highest challenges to date as we on The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. In this video you will see us climb up to 235ft in into the air as we walk up the side of the lift hill of the The Big One roller coaster. In total there is 420 steps you must climb to make it to the top but when you do you will have a 360 view across Blackpool. The Big One Walking experience costs £50 and takes place through-out the year with a maximum of 6 people per a group. The experience is one of a kind and is not one to be missed during your next trip to Blackpool. There is also a choice of being able to wear some jumpsuits to help you stay warm during the climb but this is optional. It is possible to record the experience with your phone/Go-Pro but this is only to be done every 50ft as you ascend to the top of The Big One.
The Swarm - Thorpe Park
Join Sam, Liam and Nicole as we go 127 feet in the air as we climb THE SWARM roller-coaster lift hill walk at Thorpe Park. We are first put into are harness, given a safety talk and then we start to walk up the lift hill walk. This experience costs £50 and you MAY need a minimum of 2 people but people have managed to book solo climbs. We are all Merlin VIP pass holders so we used a mixture of Golden Tickets and paying for our VIP experience. A massive thanks to Sam and John/Jon for taking us up THE SWARM. Colossus - Thorpe Park
Join Sam, Liam and Nicole as we take on our third and final lift hill walk at Thorpe Park. This time round we are taking on Colossus which is the worlds first 10 looping rollercoaster. This experience costs £50 and you MAY need a minimum of 2 people but people have managed to book solo climbs. We are all Merlin VIP pass holders so we used a mixture of Golden Tickets and paying for our VIP experience. A massive thanks to our lift hill walk guide (sorry forgot the name) who assisted us on our walk and answered a lot of our questions. This VIP experience of this amazing attractions takes you to great heights and allows you to experience some great views and sights.
